Keeping the print head area clean will prevent trouble with the NEDD sensor.
Keep the head cleaning station clean with a damp paper towel. Isopropyl alcohol or Windex can be used on the paper towel to clean the dry ink. A few drops of Windex on the sponge will help get rid of the dry ink on the sponge which might stop the flow of ink during a head clean.
